IT’S A DRAW is a collaborative Drawing and Storytelling game that I have been working on over the last four years or so.

The game has gone through a number of significant changes during its development but thanks to various design and computer skills gradually acquired since 2020 I have finally been able to create a version that I feel genuinely proud of.

The basic idea is that players all collaborate to produce a picture - composed of multiple individual drawings - and a story based on those drawings. The Art Intervention cards add an extra challenge by influencing the drawing in various ways.

There is an an opportunity for people to enter their drawings and stories in an online competition in which I will present prizes for the funniest, most creative, or generally most unique creations (see submission form at bottom of this page)

IT’S A DRAW TASTER

Try this virtual, mini, 8-Card version of the game. Simply pause the video when creating your drawings. It could be played by 1 person doing all the drawings and up to 6 people doing one drawing each. This is all obviously easier with real cards but at it least gives you a good sense of how the game is played. Try to “link” the drawings in some way so you can create a story as you go.
